Meet the Experts Behind Atlantic Athletics

Michael Parousis

After my first year in law school, I realized that I needed to pay more attention to my overall health, especially to keep up with the rigorous demands of school. Tired of simply going to the gym to “do cardio” three times a week, I started working with a dedicated and customized program that helped me transform my body. Hooked on the benefits of clean eating and a healthy body, I pursued my personal trainer certification. As a personal trainer and a boot camp instructor for the last nine years, I began sharing with others what I had experienced. While in physical therapy for an Achilles tendon injury, I met my business partner, who reintroduced me to CrossFit. I was hooked, and so I completed my CrossFit Level 1 certification. In the gym, I like to continually challenge myself with the constantly varied style of workout that CrossFit offers. Outside of the gym, I like to challenge myself by running 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons, as well as any type of obstacle mud run. As co-owner of Atlantic Athletics, I am excited to help grow a challenging yet comfortable place where others can achieve their personal health and fitness goals.
